Rules

 

Hacking Window: Hacking begins at 10:30 AM and ends at 4:45 PM. No pre-existing code is allowed.

Eligibility: Open to all currently enrolled FAU students. While we specifically encourage Freshmen and Sophomores to participate, the event is open to all years and majors.

Team Size: Teams must consist of 2 to 4 members.

AI Usage: AI tools are encouraged for brainstorming and debugging, but teams must be able to explain the logic of their code during the judging process.

Fair Play: Plagiarism or submitting work created prior to the start time will result in disqualification.

Code of Conduct: Respect and inclusivity are required. Any harassment or exclusionary behavior will result in immediate removal from the competition.

The Challenges & Prizes

Each winning team in the following tracks will receive a $150 prize:

Campus AI Assistant: Build a centralized AI that answers campus-related questions accurately to help students navigate FAU resources.

AI for Student Life: Build an AI agent that improves daily life for students—think mental health, finances, productivity, or social life.

AI for Good: Tackle a real-world problem outside of college life, such as healthcare, the environment, or accessibility.
